BlipVibe ("we," "us," "our") operates the BlipVibe social media platform, accessible via web browser and the BlipVibe mobile application (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes the categories of personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, and your rights. By creating an account or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
BlipVibe is currently in beta. Certain features, data structures, and retention practices may change before general availability. We will notify users of material changes as described in Section 18.
a. Account Information (provided by you):
b. User-Generated Content:
c. Activity Data (generated automatically):
d. Technical Data:
e. Location Data (opt-in only):
f. Information We Do Not Collect:
We process personal information for the following purposes:
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
Your data is stored using Supabase, a cloud infrastructure platform hosted in the United States. Supabase provides:
Uploaded images (avatars, post photos) are stored in Supabase Storage buckets. These images are accessible by URL to enable display within the platform. You should not upload images that contain sensitive information you do not wish to be publicly viewable.
No security measure is absolute. While we implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the size and stage of our company, we cannot and do not guarantee that unauthorized access, data loss, or a security breach will never occur. You use the Service at your own risk, and you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
Data Processing Agreement: Supabase acts as a data processor on our behalf under a Data Processing Agreement ("DPA") that governs its processing of your personal data, including obligations related to data security, confidentiality, sub-processor management, and data subject rights assistance.
Data Breach Notification: In the event of a security breach involving your personal information, we will notify affected users without undue delay and no later than required by applicable law. Where required, we will also notify the relevant regulatory authorities. Notifications will describe the nature of the breach, the categories of data affected, and the measures taken or proposed to address the breach.
BlipVibe is not currently monetized. We plan to introduce third-party advertising in a future update. When advertising is implemented:
Direct messages are stored in our database. They are not end-to-end encrypted. Access controls restrict visibility to the sender and recipient under normal operation. However:
Do not use BlipVibe direct messages for communications where confidentiality is critical.
The Service integrates with the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review:

Important: When embedded media loads (e.g., a YouTube video in a post), the third-party platform's scripts execute in your browser and may set cookies, collect IP addresses, and track activity according to that platform's own privacy policy. BlipVibe has no control over the data practices of these third parties. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) where available to reduce tracking. You may block third-party cookies in your browser settings.
BlipVibe does not set its own tracking cookies or use first-party cookies for advertising purposes. We use your browser's localStorage (a client-side storage mechanism, not a cookie) for the following strictly necessary purposes:
These localStorage entries are strictly necessary for the Service to function and do not constitute tracking. Under the ePrivacy Directive, strictly necessary storage does not require separate consent.
Third-party cookies: Embed scripts from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter/X, Spotify, Vimeo, and SoundCloud may set cookies when embedded content is displayed. These cookies are governed entirely by each platform's cookie policy. If you do not wish to receive third-party cookies, you can configure your browser to block them or disable them.
Do Not Track: Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no industry-standard interpretation of DNT, we do not currently alter our data practices in response to DNT signals. We will update this disclosure if a uniform standard is adopted.
BlipVibe is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
During account registration, users are required to provide a date of birth. If the date of birth indicates the user is under 13, account creation is denied. This is a self-reported age gate and does not constitute verified parental consent. We do not employ age-verification technology beyond date-of-birth screening.
If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will take prompt steps to delete the account and all associated data. If you believe a child under 13 has created a BlipVibe account, please contact us immediately at hello@blipvibe.com.
Regardless of your location, you have the following rights with respect to your personal information:
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
To verify your identity when making a request, we may ask you to confirm information associated with your account (e.g., your email address). We do not charge a fee for processing reasonable requests.
